Two Shades of Blue are delighted to announce auditions for actors for Edinburgh 2008, for our shows “Comedy and Cake” and “Back to the Future: The Pantomime”. The shows will be performed at C Venues (C (-1)) at the Edinburgh Fringe from the 17th to the 25th August. If you do want to audition for Back to the Future, you will need to be available from the 9th to the 25th August.

We also may be able to take some non-acting people- particularly keyboard players, lighting and sound operators, backstage, and publicity- you’d need to be free for this from the 15th to the 25th August. We’d also be keen to here from any potential musical directors.

We generally work on a profit-share basis, and the cost after you’ve received your share of revenues is likely to be around 350 including accommodation, food, and transport.

Auditions will take place as follows:

• Cambridge, Saturday 3rd May, 12.30 to 3.30pm, Newnham College, Clough JCR for Back to The Future: The Pantomime
• Cambridge, Saturday 3rd May, 4.30pm to 6pm, Newnham College, Clough JCR for Comedy and Cake
• Oxford, Monday 5th May, 2pm to 4.30 pm, Lincoln College, Oakeshott Room for Both Shows

(If you are coming to the Cambridge auditions, and wish to audition for both shows, it’s to your advantage to come to both auditions- sorry, directors are busy at different times- but if you only have time to audition once, we will consider you for both shows. If you have a strong preference for one show, come to whichever you prefer.)

Auditions are generally not particularly taxing, and you’ll be asked to pick some bits to read out; if you’re a singer, please be prepared to sing a little song of your choice.
