Two Shades of Blue

Two shades of Blue is a not-for-profit theatre company, formed from members of the Oxford and Cambridge University Light Entertainment societies. Our first performance was at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2003, and we have visited every year since with a variety of shows, most of them quite silly, and all of them lightly entertaining.


The company relax with a cup of tea, a biscuit, and a scared cat.

We have no particular lofty aims but to entertain our audience, our participants, and anyone we meet in the street. We produce shows which are fun to do and to watch; there are no gritty modern dramas told through the medium of graffiti mime, no Shakespeare set in a monkey sanctuary, and there will certainly be no contemporary dance.

2008 marks six glorious years at the fringe. Two Shades of Blue is a collaboration between members of Oxford University and Cambridge University Light Entertainment Societies.
